The band about 10 km north of the city holds the most diverse Perth: Brazilian, Italian, Vietnamese, Sudanese, Indian, Arab. Mirrabooka Square has African and Asian grocers side by side, Dianella is the tidier and pricier version, and Nollamara is where a lot of people rent their first room.
Good for
- Your first rental in Australia
- World food at neighbourhood prices
- Saving money in the early months
Watch out
No train station in the middle — buses or a car — and some streets have a worse name than they deserve.
Getting around
Buses to Stirling and Morley stations; Mirrabooka is one of the area bus interchanges.
